The Beacon Deployment is a deployment release system for low, relief, and self-orienting payloads, such as beacons, markers, hydrophones, sensors, mines, munitions, and communication modules from marine vehicles. Utilizing a vacuum base mechanism, compared to a mechanical one, the release is capable of reducing noise associated with release activities. During the payload release, the water inflow assists in maintaining buoyancy. This feature helps the platform maintain course without interrupting direction or speed and allows the vehicle to reorient itself without additional assistance.
